'기토(Gito)'는 키냐르완다어로 '작은'이라는 뜻입니다. 전통적으로 이렇게 작은 원두는 수출되지 않고 내수 시장에서만 판매되었습니다. 작은 원두가 품질이 낮다는 의미는 아니라고 확신한 RM과 킬림비(Kilimbi) 세척장은 이 작은 원두를 분리하여 밀도별로 선별하고 커핑을 진행했습니다. 예상대로 커피 맛은 훌륭했고, 이제 생산자들은 이 작물의 일부에 대해 더 나은 가격을 받을 수 있게 되었습니다. 농부들은 킬림비에 접근할 수 있는 유일한 방법인 배를 타고 체리를 킬림비로 운반합니다. 이곳은 르완다와 콩고 민주 공화국의 국경에 위치한 거대 호수인 키부 호수(Lake Kivu)에 자리 잡고 있습니다.

The bag arrived and the beans are genuinely tiny, but they brew up with a surprisingly hearty body that I wasn't expecting. It's become my quiet afternoon ritual to grind these and just savor the cup.
These little beans brew up surprisingly sweet and clean, way more depth than I expected from something so small. The bag's almost gone and I’m already planning my next order.
