Bratři Kevin a Kenny Soewondovi zahájili svou kávovou kariéru otevřením kavárny v Surabaji, největším městě východní Jávy. S rozvojem podnikání založili vlastní pražírnu.

To probudilo jejich zájem o zpracování kávy a netrvalo dlouho a začali si pronajímat staré rýžovací a sušící stanice, které využívali ke zpracování vlastní zelené kávy.

Nakupují třešně od farmářů žijících a pracujících v okolí hory Ijen. Většina zdejších farmářů jsou Madurci, jejichž prarodiče přišli z ostrova Madura.
 
Třešně jsou po vytřídění optickým třídičem podrobeny dvoudenní anaerobní fermentaci. Poté se suší, zbavují slupky a procházejí dalším kolem třídění.
