Les frères Kevin & Kenny Soewondo ont débuté leur carrière dans le café en ouvrant un café à Surabaya, la plus grande ville de l'Est de Java. Au fur et à mesure de leur développement, ils ont créé une torréfaction.

Cela a éveillé leur intérêt pour le traitement du café et il n'a pas fallu longtemps avant qu'ils ne louent d'anciennes stations de traitement et de séchage du riz pour y traiter leur propre café vert.

Achetant les cerises aux agriculteurs qui vivent et travaillent autour du mont Ijen. La majorité des agriculteurs ici sont Madurais, leurs grands-parents étant venus de l'île de Madura.
 
Les cerises, une fois triées par un trieur optique, subissent une fermentation anaérobie de 2 jours. Les cerises sont séchées, décortiquées, puis un nouveau cycle de tri est effectué.
