Kopi ini berasal dari Stasiun Pengeringan Gatta di Sidama, Ethiopia. Sebanyak 563 petani dari komunitas Shantawene berkontribusi pada mikrolot ini. Para petani ini menanam kopi sebagai bagian dari sistem polikultur, ditanam bersama buah-buahan dan sayuran. Mikrolot ini diberi nama Odaco, diambil dari nama pohon Odaco. Sebuah simbol penting bagi masyarakat Shentawene yang menanam kopi ini.
